What does this apparel represent ?
The Vikings used a runic alphabet known as Younger Futhark. The Tiwaz rune represents the sound T in the alphabet. This rune was sacred to the god Tyr.
Tyr was the principal deity in the proto-Norse pantheon before he was usurped by Odin. He is a god of war, but also justice and fair dealing.
When the gods tricked the wolf Fenrir to imprison him, the wolf suspected the ploy and demanded that one of the gods put their hand in his mouth as a sign of good faith. Knowing their plan, none of the gods was willing, with the exception of Tyr, who believed in justice and fair dealings.
In modern runic divination, the Tiwaz rune can encourage perseverance, justice, and honesty.
