What does this jewel represent?
Seeing Viking warships on the horizon struck terror in the hearts of many across Europe for centuries. The Vikings would often decorate the fronts of their ships to look like serpents coming in from the sea. These ships were called Drakkar.
The real Drakkar of Norse mythology was Jormungand, the Midgard Serpent. This enormous beast lives in the waters surrounding Midgard. He will only emerge from the waters at Ragnarok, the end of days. Jormungandr’s appearance on the skyline will signal the apocalypse.
Each piece in this collection is totally unique. It is not possible to get 2 pendants 100% identical. Each product is worked from a piece of wood for several hours by our partner Woodzard especially for VKNG.
